The late 60s saw a harder edge being applied to rock music as the technology evolved. In addition, songs – especially in the US – were becoming focused on pushing back against the establishment and Government policy so, many songs were protest songs or highlighting issues that needed to be addressed.
This selection covers both the US and British songs from 1967 to 1969 and is a great example of the differences between the two continents (US and Europe).
